Stone Giant
Chmarošský viaduct
The monumental railway bridge near Telgárt, built in the 1930s, impresses with nine stone arches, stretching 113 metres in length and rising 18 metres high. Surrounded by mountain scenery, it is one of the most photographed engineering landmarks in the Horehronie region. An easy trip to the viaduct takes about two to three hours round trip.

Horné Lazy lookout tower
This modern 40‑metre‑high observation tower offers a stunning 360° view of Horehronie, the Low Tatras and the Muránska Plateau. The climb up 192 steps is easy and suitable even for casual visitors. It is one of the tallest lookout towers in Slovakia and a favourite hiking destination from Brezno.
