A paradise for ski mountaineers in Slovakia’s largest ski resort. Chopok South offers marked ski touring corridors as well as open terrain with an elevation gain of nearly 1,000 m. Popular routes lead from Krupová via Zadné Dereše to the summit of Chopok (2,024 m a.s.l.). The area is ideal for fitness ski touring along the edges of ski slopes, as well as for demanding freeride descents in steep couloirs for experienced riders.
