High-altitude cross-country skiing in the heart of the Low Tatras at over 1,000 m above sea level. Čertovica offers more than 20 km of regularly groomed loops with stunning views of Horehronie and the Tatras. Difficulty varies from the easy Čertovica loop (1.8 km) to challenging long circuits such as the Veľký Čučoriedkový circuit (19.1 km).

Experience top-level cross-country skiing at the National Biathlon Centre Osrblie, where artificial snowmaking ensures reliable conditions throughout the season. The trails are groomed mainly for skating technique and suit intermediate to fit skiers—frequent short, steep sections add challenge; loops range from 1.3 km to nearly 6 km. The venue is open to the public outside competitions and training and offers full facilities, including changing rooms and restrooms.

The largest ski area in Slovakia offers over 49 km of slopes, 13 cable cars and 10 lifts. The south side of Chopok, closer to Brezno, is prized for its sunny pistes, modern lift infrastructure and breathtaking mountain views. Ski Tále is a popular family resort in the heart of Horehronie, ideal for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. It offers 2.77 km of well-groomed, artificially snowed slopes served by 6 lifts. On-site facilities include a ski school, rental and service, and cross-country enthusiasts can enjoy up to 5.5 km of groomed trails.

The resort features 4.6 km of perfectly groomed slopes with modern snowmaking, served by a 4-seat chairlift and surface lifts. The slope gradients meet FIS standards and are suitable for competitions. The park offers a ski school, equipment rental and servicing, and in winter you can enjoy evening skiing with panoramic views of the Low Tatras.
